Ruth was born, raised, and is proud to have always lived in Addison County, VT. She has made Shoreham, VT her home for the last 14 years and worked as a school teacher and librarian, as well as at the Parent Child Center and now Salisbury Free Public Library. She has also served on numerous local boards and volunteer efforts. Currently raising three children (13,7, and 2) as a single mom, she knows the struggles of young families well. Through a somewhat tumultuous childhood Ruth found essential support from her hometown community in Lincoln, VT and desires the same for her children. Having experienced some of the instability and hardships that many Vermonters face, she knows the importance of a strong and thriving community for all of us and hopes to help continue this tradition.
